Playing our part in fighting Climate Change

During Collective Worship this week, members of class three explained how the propellant used in some inhalers to carry the medicine into the lungs has a greenhouse gas effect, which contributes to global warming. Even when there is no medicine left, metered dose and breath-actuated inhalers still contain propellant. If you throw them away or put them in home recycling, this will leak over time. We now have a recycling tub in school reception. This will be returned to our local pharmacy for safe disposal. Please send in all your used inhalers and help us to fight climate change.
